Showforce was delighted to provide Red Bull Company with crew for the Red Bull Soapbox Race 2019 when it returned to Alexandra Palace on 7th July. The international event sees amateur drivers race homemade soapbox vehicles in a variety of shapes and sizes creating a fantastic spectacular and exhilarating experience for event goers.
The Showfoce team were onsite from 4th July to 8th July and included forklift drivers and telehandler operators, along with site crew for the build, event day and de-rig.
The crew installed more than 2500 hay bales which created the winding course down Alexandra Palace Way, which included chicanes, jumps and obstacles to maximise the challenge for competitors.
The team also assisted with the site build, erecting fencing and temporary structures around the venue, whilst the forklift drivers and telehandler operators assisted with moving equipment, wherever required, throughout the build and breakdown of the event. In addition the team also assisted the audio technicians with the installation of the PA system along the track and around the site.
In total 77 crew shifts were amassed to successfully deliver the event.
