Showforce provides crewing support to LimeLight sports for the 2020 Blenheim Palace Triathlon

Showforce was thrilled to be appointed to provide crewing and logistical support to longstanding client LimeLight sports for the 2020 Blenheim Palace Triathlon held within the venue’s stunning grounds on 12th-13th September 2020. Showforce supplied crew chiefs, crew, plant operators, and vans for moving goods around the site, to assist in the successful delivery of the event.

The Showforce team was onsite from Thursday 10th – Monday 14th September and were assigned several key tasks around the site, whilst a Luton van with a tail lift and a long wheel-based sprinter from its fleet were assigned to the project and transported goods around the site throughout the five days.

Work began with the unloading of several trucks containing the kit needed to deliver the event. Other key tasks including the erecting of 50 pop up tents and ensuring that they were set up with the required number of tables and chairs; assisting with the installation of barriers around the triathlon’s route; installing branded scrim on barriers and fencing; installing hand sanitising stations; assisting with the install of the event’s branding and signage which was extensive given the size of the site and the need to make everyone aware of social distancing and other Covid-safe measures.

Given the ongoing situation surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic strict Health & Safety procedures were in place throughout the triathlon’s build and breakdown, and during the event days for everyone involved. This included the Limelight team, all members of the supply chain, participants and spectators. Everyone was subject to a temperature check upon arrival onsite, along with social distancing measures, the wearing of masks and gloves and stringent hand sanitising.  Showforce’s meticulously thought out Covid-19 safety protocols, written in consultation with specialist event safety experts TESS, now form an integral part of every crew member’s working day, were at the forefront of all tasks carried out by the team.

Hannah Clarke, event director, LimeLight sports said: “We were very pleased to be working with the Showforce team at the Triathlon this year. As a key part of our onsite team, their hard work and professionalism was greatly appreciated and they helped us to prepare a safe and successful event for all of our participants.”
