Several teams of Showforce’s experienced crew have been in action for global temporary event power leader Aggreko, assisting with the installation of cabling and distribution equipment for the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar.
Billed as prelude to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the club tournament presented an excellent opportunity for Doha to test its local infrastructure and venue three years out from the tournament. Bringing together winners of six continental confederations along with Qatar’s league champions, as the host nation, was the 16th edition of the competition.
The Showforce crew, in teams of five, were in action at key venues including Khalifa International Stadium and Jassam Bin Hamad Stadium. The crew worked from October through to December supporting Aggreko to ensure that all the temporary requirements for the major sporting event were in place. In total they amassed 72 crew shifts.
Liverpool lifted their first FIFA Club World Cup title when they beat Flamengo 1–0 in extra time.
