Last month, an estimated one million people took part in Dubai Fitness Challenge, a Government-led initiative that challenged Dubai’s residents to partake in 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days.
Launched by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, in 2017, Dubai Fitness Challenge hosted a number of events across the city at prime locations, including beaches, parks and public areas.
Showforce supported the Dubai Fitness Challenge and supplied event crew and crew chiefs to Jumeirah Lake Towers Park, just one of the locations chosen as a venue for the initiative.
Showforce crew assisted the Dubai Government’s health and lifestyle activation by unloading furniture, building football and basketball pitches, laying AstroTurf, building a main stage, assisting technicians and distributing water. What’s more, the crew helped with general logistics and ensured that essential equipment was stored securely during the month-long challenge.
Whilst Dubai Fitness Challenge ran from 26th October – 24th November, Showforce assisted the event team from 21st October tackling a number of different challenges on a daily basis.
Dubai Fitness Challenge (#Dubai30x30) comprised two weekend carnivals, more than 8,000 free fitness class and numerous community-led activities in five dedicated fitness villages.
