• Crew training

As part of Showforce’s ongoing commitment to its crew and clients the company’s investment in training has continued. A key area of focus has been ensuring that existing and newly promoted crew chiefs have all successfully completed its in-house Crew Chief Training Programme focusing on, people management, tool box talks, H&S, their role in post job reporting and the training and development program for new crew. Additionally, a number of senior crew chiefs and crew managers have also completed the IOSH certification in Managing Safely for Events.

Furthermore, Showforce has 20 crew members who are fully trained climbers having completed the appropriate Working at Height course and come equipped with the correct PPE and harnesses which are fully compliant. Both operations manager, Laurence Jones and crew manager, Levi Khan are certified to perform harness safety checks.

Following a rise in the demand for plant operators in Dubai we have been preparing for next season with a number of senior crew completing their IPAF, Fork Lift and Working At Height training. By broadening the skill sets amongst our long standing crew we are able to offer the local market a more multifaceted workforce.

One of Showforce’s long term and highly regarded crew chiefs, Neil Rodgers will now be based in the London office full time as he joins our team of crew managers. His years of experience with Showforce will stand him in good stead for his new role. He will be visiting many of the events that Showforce is working on over the coming months, meeting with both clients and crew.
