Showforce was asked to provide crewing support for Autodesk 2019 by award winning event agency Freeman. Taking place at Tobacco Dock from 18th – 19th June, Autodesk is a conference for users of the company’s software to learn from its experts and other top experts in the field, connect with each other, and explore new concepts and workflows.
Completing 150 crew shifts over six days, the Showforce team assisted with the set-up and de-rig of the event’s plenary rooms, break out areas and exhibition spaces within Tobacco Dock. It was a large event that took over the entire venue. Crew were split into departments and were involved in installing audio visual equipment, rigging, stage sets and scenery. In addition, the crew ensured that furniture was distributed on the event build and then collected once it came to an end. On the busiest de-rig day there were 28 crew members onsite.
Speakers at Autodesk 2019 included numerous senior Autodesk executives, along with experts from Arup, Symetri, Dura Vermeer Infra, University of Warwick, Mercury Engineering and Royal BAM Group. Attendees were from a global community of professional designers and engineers as they explored the future of making.
