Showforce has been working with ELP, the leading lighting and production support service for television, during December 2012 and January 2013 on ITV’s new prime-time Light Entertainment show, Splash. A 15 man team were bought in to assist with the lighting for the pilot at Inspire in Luton.

The Showforce team worked under ELPs project manager Barry Denison, unloading ELP equipment, running cables, hanging lamps, and any other tasks that were necessary to complete the lighting rig. The crew had to work day and night in order to have everything ready for rehearsals, which they did efficiently and with good humour. Pleased with how the previous team of crew had worked for ELP, production then requested a Showforce crew to work with the rigging team.

After the Christmas break, Showforce was called upon to provide crews for the re-rigs in time for the live shows. ELP’s project manager, Barry Denison commented: “Having the Showforce team onsite made the job much easier, the crew work really hard. ELP have always had a good working relationship with Showforce, and once again, on this project, they have proved themselves through their hard work and commitment to getting the job done.”
