Overview/brief of Showforce’s involvement

In 2017 Showforce were delighted to support Acorn Event Structures with the build of its Steelyard structure, the main stage for all three festivals held at Victoria Park across two weekends from 17th-23rd May. Showforce provided a team of 35 site crew, including telehandler drivers, climbers, IPAF qualified crew and two crew chiefs to work on various aspects of the build.

Boasting a height of 20m and featuring newly developed automated technology, the award-winning Steelyard has the capacity to hold 10,000 people. The team returned to site on 1st June, once the Creamfields event was over and assisted with the change around for Field Day and then worked on the de-rig until 9th June. The crew amassed and impressive 1000 man hours.
