Event overview

Showforce assisted DB Schenker in the delivery of the Interclean event, a leading trade event for the cleaning sector that took up a four day residency from the 10-13th of May. The annual cleaning event took place at the RAI exhibition in Amsterdam was visited by well over 30,000 people making it at the time, the world’s leading trade event for the cleaning sector.

Overview/brief of Showforce’s involvement

Showforce flew four of the most experienced plant operators to assist in the safe delivery of the event set up equipment. The team’s task was to move the set up equipment that would later be built into stands, from the back of the load in trucks in the load in bays and move the pallets of plywood, heavy boxes and other materials inside the event. The plant operators were given a floor plan so they could clearly understand where the equipment had to be dropped off.

This large scaled operation meant the team needed to be clear and precise in what had to be achieved during each day. Once the team had completed the load in of the equipment, the crew stuck around for the derig. This consisted of loading the left over equipment onto the pallets and moving them from inside the exhibition centre and back onto the trucks. Force logistics and Showforce worked harmoniously throughout the whole project ensuring that each task was completed on time. From the 4th-16th May, the crew amassed a total of 456 hours between the four of them.

“This was a huge task that was given to the Showforce team and I could not speak any higher of the crew on site. The team made light work of using forklifts to load out pallets into the RAI Exhibition venue in Amsterdam, not only did they deliver above what was asked of them, but they all had smiles on their faces while doing so. Throughout the job the crew were helpful, flexible and adaptable which contributed to the over success of the project. Please pass on my regards to the crew on what a wonderful job they achieved over the 14 days on site.”
