Showforce was delighted to assist LarMac Live with the load in and set up of production equipment and memorabilia for Pink Floyd Exhibition: Their Mortal Remains, designed by Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell, in collaboration with Stufish. One of the biggest exhibitions ever accomplished at the V&A to date, it is a celebration of the collective works of Pink Floyd over the past 50 plus years.

For a total of 7 weeks Showforce supplied LarMac Live with a team of up to 6 technical crew including a telescopic handler and fork lift driver each day and an additional scissor lift operator when required. In total, the crew amassed an astonishing 1564 hours between them and assisted companies including, Blackout, Set Square, White Light, EFM and Power Logistics.

This was a very technical and logistically challenging project to complete; partly due to the priceless exhibits and delicate landscape of the V&A, some trucks required an entire day to unload. The crew was on hand to manage the careful unloading of kit and props, the transportation throughout the venue and the set up. Some incredibly precious items required the utmost care and the use of specialist gloves to ensure nothing was damaged.

The exhibition features never been seen before equipment, artifacts and instruments to celebrate Pink Floyd through the ages, including props and large inflatables used in their groundbreaking live shows worldwide. Running from May 13th until October 2017, the exhibition will mark 5 decades since the band released their first single.
