Showforce was delighted to be asked to assist with the construction of the flat floor seating systems for event seating company, Arena Seating, at Wembley Stadium. This was in light of the much-anticipated IBF heavyweight title match between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko which took place on the 10th May 2017.
A total of 90,000 spectators attended this monumental event in the boxing world; breaking the post-war attendance record for a boxing match. Seating of this capacity was made possible by the 40 crew members that were supplied over 3 shifts. The crew were tasked with the build and derig of all flat floor seating systems at the venue stretching over 320 man hours. They set up 9537 Flat tip-up seats and 921 Samsonite seats, all to ensure that every attendee had a clear vantage point, even when on the edge of their seat.
The fight lasted a total of 11 rounds with Joshua snatching the Victory against Klitschko with a TKO retaining his IBF heavyweight title and winning the vacant WBA super and IBO heavyweight belt.
