Showforce’s history

Since their inception in 1991 Showforce has proactively diversified into new areas ensuring that the services that they offer reflect the needs of the event, entertainment and production industries.

The UK operation began back in the early nineties unloading trucks for Edwin Shirley, supporting Imagination with motor shows, West End productions including Les Miserables and leading ITV show Gladiators. Showforce has continued to evolve and gone from strength to strength, working on numerous prestigious events and productions including Sports Personality of the Year, Wimbledon, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Sonisphere, the Papal Visit in 2010, the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Red Bull Air Race, Royal Variety Performances and the Tour de France. We still regularly support Imagination, ITV and Cameron Macintosh with their shows and productions.

Showforce began working in the Middle East in 2003 and opened their first office in the UAE in 2009, the Qatar office was then opened towards the end of 2012. During that time they have been involved in the region’s largest events including the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Asian Games, FIFA World Cup Club Championships, UNCTAD, Dubai International Film Festival, COP18 and Dubai’s World Record Breaking Firework Display.

The company has been the manpower behind some of the world’s most prestigious events including the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Canon Expo, Paris, 2012 Olympic and Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies, Sochi Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth Games.
