Showforce was delighted to once again support innovision with this year’s Red Bull Soapbox event when it returned to Alexandra Palace on 9th July for the first time since 2015. The international event sees amateur drivers race homemade soapbox vehicles in a variety of shapes and sizes creating a fantastic spectacular and exhilarating experience for event goers.

A team of crew was onsite from 6th July – 10th July working with innovision throughout the build, event day and de-rig. They installed more than 2500 hay bales which create the winding course down Alexandra Palace’s hill, this included chicanes, jumps and obstacles to maximise the challenge for competitors. An additional team of crew also assisted with the site build, erecting fencing and temporary structures around the venue and track.

Showforce provided four forklift drivers for the build and breakdown of the event, helping to move goods wherever they were required.

The crew also worked with Brit Row, installing the PA system around the track, tasks included setting up speakers and moving cables.

In total 75 crew shifts and 663 hours were amassed to successfully deliver the event.
