Some of K-POP’s superstars including Kangta, BoA, Super Junior, Generation, SHINee, Red Velvet and Trax headed to Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena on the 6th April for an unforgettable night of infectious music, vibrant colours and eye-catching costumes. With more than 35 artists performing to a sell out crowd of K-POP fans, it was vital that the preparation was flawless – and that’s where Showforce stepped in to assist long-standing client 117 Live.
Showforce has a track record when it comes to supporting the delivery of high profile events in Dubai and was more than up to the challenge of ensuring the K-POP SMTOWN live world tour went ahead as scheduled. Onsite from 20th March, it’s highly experienced crew supported 117 Live with the event build, taking care of everything from backstage preparations to cleaning and laying out the VIP area.
With the popularity of K-POP on the rise all over the world, a dedicated fan base has emerged in Dubai. The arena promised to be a sell-out on the night of the concert, so it took 485 of Showforce’s site and production crew to facilitate the preparations. The stage itself was built specifically for the concert and the Showforce team worked around the clock to ensure it was finished on time. The crew also erected fences, painted walls, installed signage, placed furniture and much more.
In addition, crew was also supplied direct to PRG, who delivered the event’s lighting and sound. On the show day, Showforce also provided them with 6 follow spot operators.
In total, Showforce amassed 4768 hours from the 20th March until 14th April, assisting with the de-rig once the concert had taken place.
