Events don’t get much bigger than the launch of the ultra-fast hyperloop for cargo in Dubai on 29th April. The collaboration between DP World and Virgin Hyperloop was attended by everyone from Virgin’s chairman Richard Branson to Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The DP World Cargospeed is designed to deliver goods at speeds of up to 620 miles per hour and link to existing roads, rail and air infrastructure.
Such a revolutionary invention needed a showstopping event and that’s where Showforce came in, supplying 28 crew members to Quad E Consulting, who were assisting Quintessentially Events with the transformation of Dubai’s iconic QE2 Hotel into a glimpse towards the future of high-speed transport. They provided invaluable production support to assist with meeting the extraordinary logistical challenges associated with mounting the complex event staged on the Q deck, five levels above the dock.
The Showforce team also worked hand-in-hand with other companies such as Unusual Rigging, Creative Technology, Flow and Delta Sound. However, the majority of the crew worked with Quintessentially Events’ production team to ensure the event was ready, not only for the unveiling, but also for some of the most influential people in Dubai.
Once the highly successful event ended, the Showforce crew returned to assist with the load out.
Jonathan Quitt, Quad E Consulting said: “As always the Showforce team was a pleasure to work with, I’m already looking forward to our next project.”
