The Royal Albert Hall was host to the highly anticipated ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ premiere on the 2nd of November. The film is based on a true story, which the late Agatha Christie published one of her tremendous novels upon. The premiere saw some of the stars in the film arrive on the red carpet including Kenneth Branagh, Johnny Depp and Dame Judi Dench.
Showforce had the pleasure of assisting Limited Edition Events in the installation of the lighting and rolling out the red carpet for the celebrities to have their photo taken. Being one of the UK’s most recognised and sought after concert arenas, the Royal Albert Hall’s turnaround time for the event was limited. Showforce supplied 8 crew on the 1st day to ensure all of the lighting was in place and the equipment was unloaded from the trucks. On the 2nd day another 20 event crew were sent down to complete the set up and installation of the lighting for the red carpet before show time. It was a particularly challenging job in such a short amount of time. Once the premier had finished the crew completed another short turnaround to ensure the lights and equipment were derigged and loaded back into the trucks by 23:00pm.
The event crew worked a total of 166 hours over the course of the 2 days they were on site.
